Before you go

  • Ask about allergens when you order: US food law names nine major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame), and kitchens can tell you which dishes contain them.
  • Restaurant inspection results are kept by the city or county health department; many publish them online or post the latest grade at the door.
  • For table service a tip of 15–20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

Plays bowl is always a great option whether it’s an AΓ§aΓ bowl or a Poke bowl. And when we decided to go tonight to get 3 Poke bowls, we were told they were not serving them for the rest of the day. They apparently were short staffed with 2 employees working and many people there ordering. They also ran out of rice. The employees were working very hard and still were extremely pleasant and offered an apology for not serving Poke. The company needs to step up and have proper staffing.

The lady was nice that was taking my order. But I had asked for extra Nutella and extra granola and there was barely any Nutella or granola after I had already paid extra. To add to this their wifi was down which I understand is not the workers fault but it’s the fact that I paid extra for a bowl that was the worst I’ve ever had. It’s truly disappointing because I had been coming to this location for a long time. Every time my family and I would come down the shore we would stop here, but I will no longer be coming to this location for now on.

I love the green power bowl and the Toms River location knows exactly how to load it up and make it special! Yummy bananas, granola and almond butter over a healthy kale base. 😍

If I could give negative stars, I would. Every single time we’ve ordered from this Playa Bowls, something has been wrong with the order. This time, I paid extra to add peanut butter and even paid extra for Nutella on a bowl that already includes itβ€”only to receive the tiniest amount of Nutella. I also specifically requested that the Nutella and peanut butter be placed under the fruit, since it usually just ends up stuck to the lid… and of course, that request was ignored too. I’m really not one to complain, but when you’re spending $24 on a bowl, you expect a certain level of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this place has been consistently disappointing.

Probably one of the best Acai bowls I have had. Friendly stsff and quick service. There is an extensive menu for counter order. Planty of seating in a comfortable environment to sit and enjoy the treat.
